ROOT CANAL TREATMENTS
Discover the difference our expertise can make in preserving your natural teeth. If you're experiencing tooth pain or require a consultation, trust us for professional endodontic care. Your comfort and smile are our priorities.
Initial Consultation
The process begins with a thorough examination of the affected tooth by an endodontist or general dentist. X-rays will be taken to assess the extent of the damage and determine if a root canal is necessary.
Local Anesthesia
Before starting the procedure, local anesthesia is administered to numb the affected area and ensure the patient's comfort throughout the treatment.

Isolation and Access Opening
A rubber dam or dental dam is placed around the tooth to isolate it and keep it clean and dry during the procedure. The dentist then creates an access opening in the crown of the tooth to reach the pulp chamber and root canals.
Pulp Removal
Using specialized instruments, the dentist carefully removes the infected or damaged pulp tissue from the pulp chamber and root canals. This process may involve cleaning and shaping the canals to remove any debris and bacteria.
Disinfection and Irrigation
The root canals are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using antimicrobial solutions and irrigation techniques to eliminate bacteria and prevent reinfection.
Filling and Sealing
Once the canals are cleaned and shaped, they are filled with a biocompatible material called gutta-percha to seal them and prevent further infection. The access opening is then sealed with a temporary or permanent filling.
Restoration
In some cases, a dental crown may be recommended to restore the strength and functionality of the tooth, especially if a significant portion of the tooth structure has been lost. The crown is custom-made to match the color and shape of the natural teeth.
Follow-up Appointments
After the root canal treatment is completed, the patient may need to schedule follow-up appointments to monitor the healing process and ensure the success of the treatment. Additional X-rays may be taken to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and confirm that the infection has been eradicated.
